Easter biscuits 

Ingredients for the dough 

  • 500 g Čakovečki mlinovi coarse flour  
  • 300 g Čakovečki mlinovi fine flour  
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 yolk 
  • 1 vanilla sugar 
  • 250 g powdered sugar 
  • 500 g butter 
  • 5 tablespoons milk 

  

Ingredients for royal icing 

  • 1 egg white 
  • 200 g powdered sugar 
  • 3 – 4 drops lemon juice 

 Preparation

Mix the room temperature butter with the powdered sugar and then add the other ingredients. Finally, add the milk and stir. When you are finished with the dough, cut the desired shape using a mould. Bake the dough at 180°C for 10-15 minutes. 

Mix the egg whites and slowly start adding powdered sugar. Add lemon juice. Add colour if desired and stir. There are two steps in decorating the biscuit. First, trim the cookie with a thicker mixture, then dilute the mixture with a little water and fill the inside with it.
